When my kids were small, they didn’t care for green beans or many other vegetables so I developed this version in a way I knew they would at least try them. (Come on, who doesn’t like bacon) They can’t get enough of them now and I bet your crew will love them as well!

SERVES: 5 to 6

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 to 2lbs. fresh green beans
6 slices of bacon – fried crisp and set onto paper towels to strain until cooled, then chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
½ white onion, chopped fine
3 cloves fresh garlic- minced
½ teaspoon Texas Gourmet’s Sweet Chipotle Season-All
1/2 stick – unsalted butter- heated over med. heat until the bubbles stop

PREPARATION
Green Beans, rinse, trim the top, then steamed for 3 to 4 minutes, immediately place in cold water bath to stop the cooking and set aside, store in a large baggie or bowl in the refrigerator for later preparation.

Prepare bacon by frying crisp and set onto paper towels to strain until cooled, then chopped into ½ inch pieces.

Place butter on stove and reheat to med. heat, add onion, saute until clear, then add the green beans, increase heat to med. high, and stir fry to coat them with the butter, now add the minced garlic, toss for approx. 1 to 2 minutes gently, add the bacon and toss again, now add the Sweet Chipotle Season All, and toss one more time .

Serve with your favorite dish!
